Yep... it's about these damn junior high relationships. "But why did it end in misery?" - means why would you be so sad about the breakup if you didn't even love the person in the first place. "Taking our chances, getting our thrills"- we get our thrills from taking our chances with someone new every few weeks. "Loved defined on our TV"- self explanitory. "Are we in love, or just so alone, that we're looking for anyone to hold"- we feel that we need to love someone to be happy and not feel so alone, and we feel so alone that we'll look for anyone to hold.
Now, when I say we, I don't mean me and everyone else, just the people who feel this way.. everyone in junior high.
