This is such a beautiful song. I think the meaning of this song is rather strait forward; a guy who is thinking about a past relationship and trying to forget because afterall there are "too much of the same stories in our lives", yet the end of the song shows his emotion.. he wants her back..."I remember the way you made me feel when I was with you". Its a song about remembering, yet eventually realizing that "it's time for us to walk away from here". I'm in one of those situations and I'm trying to walk away but I remember lying on the beach so late at night... its hard..
