Cover art for Interstate Love Song lyrics by Stone Temple Pilots

this song is incredible...how could anyone say the lyrics are 'lacking'??? the lyrics are great! i mean, he uses a lot of great metaphors like 'southern train', 'rusted shame', 'sunday afternoon'...what's great is that while he writes down a vision of his own, almost anyone can relate to it...whether it's about escaping a relationship, problems with addiction, whatever...it's clear to me that the song is simply about personal freedom - learning to let go of certain things to make way for other things which are more valuable to your life; and big time kudos to robert deleo for writing the music - man what an unforgettable melody and an abolutely perfect choice of chords - you da man rob!! i will never get over how great this song is

@lp91 The lyrics are not lacking at all. It's like watching a good movie that has sparse visuals. The meanig is still there.

@lp91 The lyrics are minimalist but effective.
