everytime i hear this song, i think of a movie, where a guy is getting ready to leave his house in the snow, walks out to his barn where he keeps his old ass car, gets in, and starts driving along the highway, trees and forest on one side, then the road, then a short western style fence and a field of dead wheet on the other side, and he's driving and driving, then pulls up to a cabin with some smoke coming out of the chimney, and some girl walks out in a red sweater, and he walks up, they hug, and he goes inside.
i get that impression, although it says "brother gone north" so its probably about family rather than some girl, but ya know. its imagination.
