If you understood half of what their lyrics were about you'd know that they are meaning to become better people and trying to push for a better society. So then why cannot they change by adding melody to their vocals? What did you enjoy most about In Flames before, the melodic riffs or the poetry screamed? Or perhaps it was the combination of both which made them unique.
