I had the privilage of speaking to Jon at a rather informal concert several years back, and he told me about writing this song. He was irritated in his Chemistry class, and had no desire to take it. "It's all wrong, but it's all right," speaks that sitting in a desk (cubicle, or office, depending on your situation), is not how we were made to spend our lives. It is all right, though; what goes up must come down. He doesn't want to be caught up in a stuff room when he can be out and enjoying other things in life. :)
