I loved this song the first time I heard it and it's one of my favourites, though I have to say that it's probably the only Suede song that I actually enjoy. I have no idea who Simon The Clown is but the guy who wrote this song is obviously jaded and wary of the world and Simon is probably his conscience or whatever it is that he's missing.
