actually i disagree with you. i think this song is about a guy and a girl that like each other and openly acknowledge that but everytime they get close to going out something happens and they both try to move on. however they keep ending up likeing each other...and the guy is now afraid of getting too close to her because he knows how it'll end and he doesn't want to get hurt anymore...at least that's what i hope this means...cuz it's exactly what i'm going through with this girl right now.
