This song is really cool I think, and I don't think it is as negative as people seem to think...When it says "Before you left I said that you can bet I'll be bothering you soon
You said 'No bother, please do'" Makes it sound like things are peachy-keen, and when it talks about the hellish fight, I think even a relationship with mutual attraction can still be hard, waiting for the girl to call and everything. It doesn't really say she never called, and I think the whole clavicle kissing thing is pretty awesome, it's the little things that seem to matter most. Seems to me more of a song about things to come, instead of a song about wishing for what will never be. But I guess it's open to interpretation, so different people can get different meanings out of it. It's a nice song.
