To me, this songs' meaning is blantently obvious. Its not about 2 girls -as stated- but rather 2 guys. There's a girl in this song who is torn between the guy shes with, and the guy shes in love with...she just can't show it because she's already in a relationship. This girl leads the guy she loves on because she doesn't ever want to lose his love. The guy is aware of this, but he's held on for so long hoping she would change. Eventually, the guy she's with finds out about what it going on between the two. They are still together because she feels that is what's right, but really, she doesn't want this other boy to leave her and give up on her love. Now she's in too deep, and realizes that she did everything wrong and doesn't want him to "leave her now." Maybe this only makes sense to me, because right now, I love "him" but..."you" gave me something to sleep to. And in my mind, everything we did was right. Open your eyes, I'll still be by your side. How could I ever have been so blind?
