whats "silence lies empty" mean?
i don't think its about drugs really, there's a little bit about medication at the end "maybe these will cure you completely chemicals deeply saviors until you're dependent don't let them go to your head"
anyways this song is sweet
It's about anxiety where it becomes a disease, anti-anxiety medications are pretty damn addictive (valium, xanax, klonopin, mogadon, estazolam, tranxene, restoril etc..) and Joey was really anxious and depressed during the Hoss times, re: Wind In Your Sail, divorcing his wife or a break up with his long time girlfriend. Self-reflection on how anxiety disorders appear to others as just being a whining fuck when in reality you are extremely hurting inside, but since it doesn't show....people are just sick of you claiming you are sick.
