It seems like lose of faith in onesself is a reoccuring theme in BA songs, but trying to slavage some sense of pride and respect through saving others does seem like the main theme here. "reminding you with my worst"...the narrator uses his own wrongs and failures to show others the way. but it seems more specific than the narrator just trying to save others, it almost seems like hes trying to save someone from his past...an ex lover maybe?
