The original song is by Bryan Adams...but I prefer this version for two reasons. This version is sung by a female (although the words are unchanged) which would make it a little easier for me to get personally into. The second is the music. This version is more fragile. While the original turn the chorus into a driving statment, the DJ Sammy version has a kind of naivity that makes it so much more approachable as a love song, to me, anyway.
I really can't stand the verses though. The music and lyrics are cheesy and predictible to me. The musical progression of the chorus, however, is something that caught my emotions immediatly.
I'm usually one for originals, but this cover isn't a bad take on the song...listen to the original though and decide for yourself!
