i dont think the chilis are sell-outs in any way, i just think maybe they are mellowing out, alot of bands do this and i think their music is still of the same quality, just not the same style. i actually think the by the way album is better than californication. but not better than blood sugar sex magik!
anyway the single "by the way" is very funky and quite heavy so why would they release that as thier first single if they were trying to attract a pop audience?
