Oh there are most definitely parallels to other songs. I see it as the first song on the album, right after the radio single, as a little introduction in case you missed the last two albums. Still without love, but now a different take on it: not mopey like August, not bitter like Satellites. The album's great. I'm still trying to find the connection to Time & Time Again: "Out into the desert we're gonna ride..."
