i figure it could mean 2 things, either
a) it's literal, about a person who got into a car accident, or
b) it's about a friend who wanted to get into the real world. they didn't want to wait until they were ready, they just wanted to go out and do it. they ran away from their family, and then they failed, and ended up ruining their life, or something close to it.
