That line perfectly captures the heartache. It expresses how when we lose them, we feel like we are loosing EVERYTHING. I'm guessing that this song is about his lover leaving him for another guy "BUT AS YOU WALK INTO HIS ARMS..." It's sad stuff but makes one beautiful song.
