The first bit sounds like he's sitting in a room with one of his parents and they've just had an arguement(I can't stand to let you win). He's staring at the other person and feeling stupid. He know's he/she/they love him(its actually "feeling all the love you hide") but wishes they had a better way of showing it. He wishes they could stop arguing.
He needs somebody because he isn't getting the love he needs from his parents.("all I need is to be... loved just for me" ) He wan'ts his parents to love him for who he is.
He does all kinds of stuff for them (chores prob.) but they still don't let him do anything because of whatever reason. Probably something to do with Jonathan's style, friends, habits, etc.("loved just for me..." remember?).
He does everything they ask him to but they still won't let him do whatever thing (giving gave nothing back) because of whatever they don't like about him. He feels stupid because they've tried so much to make things better and now they're practically ignoring him (i am nothing).
He looks and signs. Signs what? A contract maybe? I'm thinking a therapist or councilor to help him deal with his issues with his parents. But the therapy doesn't work out and so he feels worse then before. And so he needs somebody else to help him but he feels lost because he has no idea who.
