all i said was 'everyone in america will be listening to this,' without further comment on whether or not that is a good thing. the song was written to be catchy, and it is.
p.s. - i'd take a thousand screaming teenyboppers over the pretension and arrogance of one who thinks they're 'elite' for listening to 'underground' music. there is an extraordinary amount of good 'underground' music, but that doesn't mean that everything 'mainstream' is inherently bad, or that one is better than someone 'far too consumed with music they don't have to think about' just because they listen to 'non-mainstream' stuff.
Never the less, the "mainstream media" or whatever you would like to call it, are encouraging people to listen to music without thinking of their own, and that is a huge problem, cuz when people stop thinking for themselves, that's when the corporation can control us as if we were cows or pigs... My point is if music can enlighten people and make them think for themselves instead of being 100% commercial, that's a good thing.
