I Dunno, but to me this song just seems like hes the third wheel in some kind of relationship and eventually his "thought to be" good friend goes with the other person over him. Its just him getting the last word....or at least thats what I get from the song...but I could be totally wrong! ;) He gave it all he could, but you cant always be the only one giving effort, it becomes too much for you and you jsut want to give up until they come around....
