Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but when I read the lyrics, I think that the speaker is talking of suicide.. "Let's walk away from this hell." The hell that is life.
I like to think however, that the speaker is just offering his hand to help the person get out of a rough situtation.
I love the chorus to this song.
