I can totally relate this song to this last summer, with a guy friend of mine...we both just wanted to get away from everyone and everything. We wanted to just be anywhere but home. And we would drive around, just doing nothing, and it meant so much. I would often look at the stars, and think of the song :).
Anyway, the lead singer actually wrote the song about, when he was 14 or 15, he had a girlfriend who he'd pick up really late at night and they'd just go drive around, not wanting to go home. :).
