I think its about a guy that like a girl, possibly a waitress from the coffee cup part and that she smiles at him but she smiles at everyone because she has to be polite, and he tells her but she doesn't feel the same. And he doesn't know if he should keep liking her or just get over her. Dumb like that means he thinks she likes him that's why he pours out his feelings, but she doesn't feel the same. SAD!
