I think this song is about the girl that he loves, but cannot have. He is saying that someday...he'll find someone just like this girl, and then he'll be happy. But he can't be happy now because he can't have the girl he loves. But someday he'll fall in love with someone else, but he wants that girl to be just like the one he loves now. I love all of Pete Yorn's songs, but this one is my personal favorite.
