First of all i want to say that this is my favorite 311 song because of the crucial lyrics and drum technique (im a drummer myself), and also because it doesnt get enough attention. ---What I think this song is trying to say is that we as society are always ready to jump to the next stage of technology, that will enhance our environment and surroundings. And we do it so fast that we dont stop to try and realize how we have come so far since the beginning of time and creation, and instead of looking for practical terms of our advancement, many times we look for or "believe in mysteries" that we think are out there that will explain our advancement as society. When really the truth is right there , but we dont want that because its not fascinating enough to our minds eye. Is the truth so bad??? Talk to me online about it, XC8316 , is my screen name.
