I dont know this song is one of my very favorite counting crow's songs and yet i dont know much about the meaning. I guess to me its about growing up moving on and putting yourself out there not listening to what other people think.
i always liked this song. my favorite part is "it's the heart that matters more. i think you better turn your ticket in and get your money back at the door" to me it means that you have to live with your heart first and foremost and he is referring to someone who hasn't done so, therefore they should turn their ticket in and get their money back. i love that.
