this a great song musically and lyrically.i can only think its about compromise about not forgoing who you are in a relationship ,but still giving of yourself.the theme of vespertine has alot of that in it,about handing yourself over.giving yourself away to someone else ,bjork talks about her love of independance 'i i thrive best hermit style'in this song,doing things on her own being her own boss,but sort of now she's ready to let go of that i think in this song is what shes trying to say.
