This song definately has a suicidal tone to it. I think it's about someone who's trying to deal with a friend who attempted suicide, and neither of them are all too stable. It seems to say basically "hey, i'm fucked up and you're fucked up, but i'm going to help you however I can anyway." It's about giving your all when you've got nothing to give just to help someone you love. The end of this song is brilliant though.
