Actually, chosen1, I will agree for the "most part" with the others. You have looked into this song for its deeper meaning, but I am not so sure about your analysis of "...if the face inside can't see the light I know I'll have to walk alone And if I walk alone to the other side I know I might not make it home." I don't think it is "the light of Christ can't be seen in him by God, he'll have to walk alone", because God doesn't forsake. Just because the light isn't shining for outward notice, Jesus wouldn't leave him to walk alone. Try this on for size, let me know how it fits. How about the face inside actually being his conscience, and if he can't see the light, the truth, then he won't be saved, and will be left to walk alone. By your analysis, you leave it that man can be saved, and then not saved by some action, like not letting the light shine. But with this deeper look, I am saying that Scott is talking about the ability of himself to find the light.
