I'm not really good at this stuff, but maybe the meaning is that relationships can be rocky, there's good times and bad times, but you need to decide if you want to take the chance. There may be so much craziness and saddness in knowing each other already, but what they have seems to be good. Though she wouldn't put it thru a test like a havin a long distance relationship or going on vacation b/c shes afraid that it wouldn't work out. Basically that seems to be it. I may be totally wrong here.
