This song is pretty different from some of the other great Duncan Sheik songs I've heard, but I look forward to buying his new cd (Daylight) which is coming out on Aug. 27th!

I think this song is about how he observes this girl who seems like she's living a happy life, but that he thinks she's not honestly happy (living in a "conspiracy of happiness") and that he doesn't really want to be a part of it. Still there's some history between him and this girl where they meant something to each other (and she still means a lot to him), but that he feels he's living in his own conspiracy of happiness pretending that he doesn't care for her anymore.
"You're the sea and the sky and the blue that runs through it" .. ;) so great.
