"Spilled Milk" is a song about accidentally hurting someone you care about, and then regretting it. You're trying to make amends, but they're not having it. All you can really do is appologize, and hope that they accept it. This song used to be a happy one for me, when I was in a relationship. My boyfriend and I used to listen to this song together for hours on end. Even though it's not exactly a cheerful song about a relationship, it meant something to me anyway because of the time spent together listening to that song. Now that we don't have a relationship anymore, it kind of reminds me of the whole situation, and I look at it from a different perspective. I can feel the emotion from another angle, so the song has turned from just a song that I liked a lot, into one that I can relate to. A big thank you goes out to Joe and Bill for writing this song.
