Cover art for Cornflake Girl lyrics by Tori Amos

"This song describes the irreversible damage and pain rendered by a woman betraying another woman; it's a tragedy, really. Not even their common experiences as females can save what is ruined."

i'd be very interested in your interpretation of the last part. "rabbit where'd you put the keys girl, and the man with the golden gun" maybe it's something only tori knows

Not Valid

People seem to miss the fact that Tori didn't just base the song off a single book, but bits and pieces of different things, some scattered in her head. In terms of "Rabbit where'd you put the keys girl?" this is from the book "When Rabbit Howls" by Trudi Chase, who had Disassociative Identity Disorder (From severe abuse at a young age.), and her personality was called Rabbit, who held the keys to all of her other personalities.

Not Valid

In this interview, Tori talks about how Rabbit in the song refers to people who went by the name Rabbit and Fox, a couple who lived in the woods in Oregon. https://youtu.be/hIEjGL-xPDE
