i believe this song is about a girl who has been so drugged out on prozac and meds and all kinds of stuff that she's a walking zombie. the guy finds himself conforming, taking the right meds to be "normal", but he's thinking maybe he can learn from her, because he doesn't want to be like that. "maybe i can be normal like you" is heavily sarcastic. he can't stop what he knows is going to happen, he knows he's going to be like her one day.
