I love this song very much. It's helped me through some really depressing times, and I like the way the repetion of the simple guitar riff in the verses feels quite like a lullaby. Obviously this is written to soothe somebody mental, rather than physical, demons, with the "walls closing in on you" and the "monsters in your head." (Incidentally, I like the way Darren chooses "head" here rather than the more obvious ryhme of "mind," to go with "find.")
I like the enduring vibe of hope in it- Darren himself says he wrote it during "one of the bleakest New York winters" which were understandably hard on him, coming from sunny Oz, and it works as a kind of positive mantra, and there's something about this song that always makes me feel cheerful, no matter how miserable I am at the start.
