I'm pretty sure this song is about the chaos and messed up state that the world is in. It talks about seemingly ordinary people doing unthinkable things and challenges us to question ourselves. I especially like the verse, "The politicians placed the blame and nothing changed." I whole-heartedly agree... everytime something bad happens, the media and congress try to find scapegoates, such as entertainment, gun availability, etc.
