All of you are morons. Not every great song has to have some deep internal meaning. This song is originally by Bob Dylan MADE FOR A MOVIE called "Pat Garret & Billy the Kid". In the movie, a dying cop realizes he will never get to use his badge or gun again. Wake up people!

this is the best version of this song. Its been covered about a million times but G 'N' R does the best version. All this drug bullshit is so stupid. just becuz guns n roses did drugs, you immediately assume that it has to be about drugs? Thats total bull.
