slickvic- are you kidding me? First of all how are you going to compare a singer of a band that has only one of the original members while aerosmith has had almost 20 albums and have survived since the early 70's. Second of all how are you going to say steven tyler sucks? Mama Kin, Dream on, Same old song and dance, Seaons of wither, Toys in the attic, uncle salty, walk this way, sweet emotion, no more no more, back in the saddle, last child, nobodys fault, draw the line, kings and queens... these are just to name the classics... Without Aerosmith do you have any idea how many bands wouldnt of made the same impact on the rock world. Van Halen did quite a few aerosmith covers early in their career, where would they be without aerosmith, where would tesla be without aerosmith, dude where would guns n roses be without aerosmith and just so you know as much as i respect axl rose, steven tyler did a much better singing this song this axl.
Guns n' Roses covered this song in 1986.. in 'Lies'.They weren't famous at all back then. Aerosmith's version is more "clean" and simple. The version of Guns n' Roses ROCKS! It's dirty, it's 86's Guns! (and they also change the lyrics in the ending... wwwow!)

when they take songs, though, they give new meanings to the words cause they're GNR--no matter who wrote it originally-Bob Dylan, Aerosmith, Charles Manson...
yeah thats true and most of the times i don't like covered songs but gnr does it pretty good
Ehh, Axl tries too hard to be Steven. And he's not. The original is cleaner and sleazier and jus better. Sorry GNR, that's just the way it is.
