The Phantom Of The Opera Lyrics
I love this play. I have seen it over 30 times. Its so alive and so tragic and so wonderful.... Yes nietzsche 66 there is more to it. This song is about how the Phantom wants to control Christine, or more of how he is controling Christine. Anywise I love this song It just sends chills down my spine when I hear it.
i love this song, especially when gerald butler sang it. he's so gorgeous! but then again, he's not supposed to be. i get spooked when i hear this song too.
I absolutely love this song...the whole story really. i'm only 14, and i've been obsessed with this movie for ages... my friends are like, always bagging me for it, but i LOVE it. i listen to it every morning on the bus (mainly this song, not really the others) when emmy rossum sings, i'm like 'gahhr! why can't i sing like her?' really, she's such an amazing singer...and yeah, i love ths song.
this song when performed by steve n sarah is totally amazin. i love phantom, but this was a totally brilliant taste of what was to come in the musical when releasd on t lp (which my mom had) I was totally entranced by this song as a kid.. it's rock, horror, romance and omg a brilliant portrayl of the themes of phantom. the pop promo video (in essence a 5 min film is also amazin!!!!!!!!! Steve harley looks pretty fit as the phantom!!!! (yum) and i bet he'd v don a gud job but i like michael crawford singing "music of the night...) the covers of dis song rnt 2 bad. gerry butler is impressive all things considered n emmy rossum is the girl we all wanna snd like.....
this song continues to make me shiver. its so dark. and beautiful.
the phantom of the opera is now, my mastermind... xxx
i absolutely love this song. its amazing. GO PHANTOM!
I love this musical so much....I hope to perform in it some day :)
Isn't there more to this? I remember a line: "In sleep he sang to me, In dreams he came- That voice which calls to me And speaks my name. And do I dream again? For now I find- The phantom of the opera is there Inside my mind."
Anyone know what I'm talking about?
yes that is the first line of it i remember it to and was confused i just went to see the play on a class trip how about you?
I've been in love with this musical for years. The first time I saw it I was seven. I wish people would get the words right.
the thing is that ALW is known for changing his mind all the time. the song used to have these "beneath the opera house" lyrics, until he decided to change it and asked another lyricist to make the ammendments he felt like. hence, the version here was only recorded once, with sarah brightman.
