Then again, the vocals on this song are really hard to interpret because of all the weird distortion on it.

I honestly have no clue what this song is about. On one hand, it sounds like it could be about addiction, with lines like "I wanna run to the devil and get me some more" and the "sweet sunshine" is whatever you're addicted to. I can also see it having something to do with masturbation or sex.

Though knowing Beck's Mellow Gold era songwriting, he probably just made them up from the top of his head like he did with Loser, Steal My Body Home, and a few others. I think one of the weirdest things about this song is that it's called "Sweet Sunshine," yet it sounds so...dark. Maybe he was going for that, so he threw in some dark-sounding lyrics for ironic purposes?

There's something about this whichs reminds me of Tom Waits and Primus' "Jack Kerouac on the road."

I really have no idea what this song means.. It's pretty strange. I also assumed it was dealing with drugs + sex.
