Beck singing in a fey, high-pitched voice. I love how he sings "ooh, oooh OOOOOHHH". It's Beckalicious. So..uhh what's it about? I keep thinking it's about somebody seducing a younger girl. Yep. But then again, I'm probably wrong.
I'm fairly certain this is a silly love song for his girlfriend of the time. Beck used to call himself/be called "the garbage man" because of his ability to scrap together junk and make great music with it when he was younger. Peaches 'n Cream being his girlfriend. He's also mentioned in interviews that the last line was just something ridiculous he put in on a whim, so that leads me to believe it's not such an intensely sexual song (in his intentions at least)
The garbage man thing is beyond me. Beck's best song, along with nicotine and gravy. Can't figure out either of them, lots of phrases that dont really go together.

i'm not sure about the bit about the lamp - guess singing verses like this is typical for gospel choirs (then lamp symbolises faith) and featuring one in the song required such references?:)

The garbage man part i get. Garbage men are like low standard guys and they deal with trash and yucky things and the fact that its a girl who unatrative but for the standards of a garbage man its great, it makes the garbage man scream
