The first time that I heard this song I had to play it over and over again. The words are so pretty and I can really relate about that one special person that can get to you where nobody else can. I love this song.
I don't like the imagery of Shania and her ugly husband making love, but I have always thought this song was pretty.

Sometimes when you're young and naive you go about life living according to your ways, and in the process you make mistakes, get hurt and before you know it you end up as a cynic. Then that one person comes along...that one person they say who completely makes you want to be a better person, that one person who makes all the walls crumble to the floor and allows you to believe and trust again, that one person you feel a special connection with that you just can't explain but it's a feeling that makes you feel closer to Home. You don't know how that person got to you but the best part is knowing that it happened without expectations/demands nor out of selfish motives. Don't know if you'll find this, but this is for you Paul. :)
