Mass Murder Machine Lyrics

Take a good look
I know what you see
Shrouded in black
and all life's debris

Shot in the back
live through the day
ain't no remorse
you do as they say

ohhhhhhhh,
ohhhhhh,
ohhhhhhhh,
ohhhhhh,
Now that i've seen whats come & past
forget all thats pure; it never lasts
inside a mass murder machine

victims for life
Slaves to the end
rooted and sick
How it's always been

ohhhhhhhh,
ohhhhhh,
Built to destroy
one can't deny
the hole that becomes
the hand in the sky

ohhhhhhhh,
ohhhhhh,
ohhhhhhhh,
ohhhhhh,
Now that i've seen whats come & past
forget all thats pure; it never lasts
inside a mass murder machine
Now that i've seen whats come & past
forget all thats pure; it never lasts
inside a mass murder machine

I wish I was done
Yeah, I wish I was done ohhh
I wish I was done
Yeah, I wish I was done ohhh
I wish I was done
Yeah, I wish I was done ohhh

ohhhhhhhh,
ohhhhhh,
ohhhhhhhh,
ohhhhhh,
Now that i've seen whats come & past
forget all thats pure; it never lasts
inside a mass murder machine
Now that i've seen whats come & past
forget all thats pure; it never lasts
inside a mass murder machine
Now that i've seen whats come & past
forget all thats pure; it never lasts
inside a mass murder machine
Now that i've seen whats come & past
forget all thats pure; it never lasts
inside a mass murder machine

This has to be one of my top favourite Zakk/BLS songs. It's one of those songs I will always hum to when listening to it.

The meaning is quite simple, too. Our natural consequences when we try to cheat, steal or hurt adds up... leading to the mass murder machine, the final destination in life's wild, excess garbage. It's best to say we cannot escape fate and that maybe some people believe somedays that they wish they were done for cause they cannot bare the natural consequences any longer.

My other thoughts on this song:

It could either be about his father and how Zakk imagined how he felt in the war, being around darkness all of the time.

Or, one could also assume this is written for the slave days in America when they were treated poorly and never felt like human beings.

Anyway, the solo near the end of the song is my favourite. Infact, this song is my second favourite by him. Anyway. heh.
