one of my favorite maladroit songs.. its alot better than britney spears' slave song.

heck yeah this is better than hers ;þ her shpooty slave song can go smoke itself and like i dont know..rot i think..or just dont play anymore but i love this song so much lol.....and that Lyric "To things we'll never try" ::sighs:: i dont know it just means something somehow...i wanna get the maladroit album..and green and blue i have pinkerton..im seriously surprised i hadnt heard of the weezer album when it came out..it such an overlooked album..and im a person who is deathly afraid of getting old albums of anybody..i dont know why

This is the only song on Maladroit that I love - I'm not saying I hate the cd (I mean, nothing could live up to Pinkerton) but the chords are so nicely layered and stuff...ah i just really like it. I wouldn't say I really like the lyrics to the new cd, but still, this song rocks.

This song is so sweet. The "Love barely alive" refrain is just the business

The "And my girl we'll say good-bye to the things we'll never try" line is like the saddest thing ive heard in a very long time. Theres a couple of awesome parts like this on Maladroit... in a couple of different songs on the album and although i guess they would add up to maybe 1-2 minutes total this is what i think makes Weezer quite special.

Drawing from personal experience: this song is about a guy who is holding onto a girl who is stuck between him and someone else thus the lyrics "who put on your heart" the guy realizes that it could never happen("and my girl we'll say goodbye, to the things we'll never try.") He's barely alive because of what she has done to him, whether intetionally or not

this song is totally about breaking up or almost breaking up i heard it and it fit my emotions so well i was like 'holy shit man' also the line "And my girl we'll say good-bye to the things we'll never try" is sooo perfect for this situation.

also the opening word and closing word are marvelous
