Great song...But the first line is "whenever sang my songs..."
I cry every time I hear this song. I loved it since I played FF8 for the first time. This song is about a girl being in love, and hoping that he loves her back, but not sure. I'm surprised no one has commented on this, yet.

I've always seen it spelled Faye Wong, but regardless of her name - the song is amazing! I heard it on Final Fantasy 8 once and looked it up on (it must have been Napster back then!). It's beautiful. The Chinese (or is it Japanese - I don't know) version is great too!
Yeah, I guess its spelled like Faye Wong too. And I think (not sure now) she's a hk-artist ? Singing cantonese in that other version?? Talking 'bout hk-artists I think Gigi Leung's a lil better than Wong.

Really.. Faye Wong sounds really muich like chinese.. japanese ppl dun have names like that .. or? and i got some chinese songs by her. And why has she got a cantonese-version of the song, but no japanese version? Well, im a korean, so i dunno. ?
she is chinese japanese usually have longer names, like Nobuo Uematsu. Although now it seems obvious to me, this song is about Laguna Loire...the tiny little bar and how he was always watching her and smiling.

Her real name is Wong Fei, and she is chinese. Chinese surnames come before the first. so he name is Fei and her surname is Wong. Sounds like Faye Wong see?.
A lot of chinese celebs have english names like this. Zhang Ziyi, is in fact Ziyi Zhang. Hope this is cleared up.
