Aphid Manure Heist Lyrics
Amanda
lied o'er the man's light
Made sure the faith in the light had made her
The greatest woman
The greatest woman
To be the man's greatest wife
I thought it all over
Lord knows I've tried
It's awful great struggle
In any man's life
To look in the mirror
In total surprise
At the great hair on her shoulders
And the great big, big, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful eyes...
Aman.....
lied o'er the man's light
Made sure the faith in the light had made her
The greatest woman
The greatest woman
To be the man's greatest wife
Lord knows I've tried
It's awful great struggle
In any man's life
To look in the mirror
In total surprise
At the great hair on her shoulders
And the great big, big, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful eyes...

Okay, here's the story. That really is Beck singing. It was a cover of a song by some guy named Waylon Jennings. It struck Beck as funny to distort his voice the way he does in this song, so he did, and a part of that cover is what we hear on Stereopathic Soulmanure. The nonsensical title is just meant to be joke on Beck's part.
This song so wins for "wierdest song on Stereopathic Soulmanure." Is that even Beck singing?
Yeah, it doesn't sound like him.
Hm, maybe not so bizarre. Maybe Amanda's a werewolf-lady, but this guy still loves her. She tried to keep it secret but he found out when they got married.
Or maybe it's a metaphor for loneliness. She's turned into a werewolf, so to speak, from growing apart from this guy, who treasures her not as a lover, but only as a wife.
Or maybe she's just a transvestite.
