All Day Lyrics

well I'm hiding my eyes from the morning sun
and I keep on working till the work is all done
but a voice in my head keeps ticking away
as the sweat's hosed down from yet another day
well he works hard and he lives hard
and he breaks his back without nothing to gain
while the boss man sits around and drinks champagne
all day

(you work and you work and you work and)
in life, there's just one transition
all day
(you work and you work and you work and)
in life, there's just one decision well
I'm peeling the blisters off my working hand
is that what it takes to make you understand?
that it's something you read, not something you meant to be
slaving away without a shred of integrity
he worked hard and he lived hard
and he broke his back without nothing to say
while the man in control was just laughing away
all day

(you work and you work and you work and)
in life, there's just one transition
all day
(you work and you work and you work and)
in life, there's just one decision
was it something you read?
was it something you meant?
was it something you said?
or was it heaven sent?

all day
(you work and you work and you work and)
in life, there's just one transition
all day
(you work and you work and you work and)
in life, there's just one decision

As reading the lyrics and listening, the song is about a person whos working hard in regular basis. Does not matter where that person works but in what condition. As desribed: "Well I'm hiding my eyes from the morning sun And I keep on working till the work is all done But a voice in my head keeps ticking away As the sweat's hosed down from yet another day" The person is working ass off one day long and still gets a glimps of another day is gonna be as hard as the day the person finished the labor.

"Well he works hard And he lives hard And he breaks his back without nothing to gain While the boss man sits around and drinks champagne" It never was easy for that person to have a easy going in life. Gained less then what person should have got while the one who's head of corporation or general business is getting more than what his worker gets overall low life, drinking champange while his worker suffers in his labor.

It's a good song with some of 80's spice but the lyrics itself is sad but very true and relatable for many who is currently working hard but not gaining much as they wanted. Never getting a rest or anything.

Why does it say that "All Day" was written by and Simon Keith Shackleton? As far as I know it was written by Al Jourgensen. I think this is a mistake.

@Alieno Agreed
