Commercial For Levi Lyrics
You're the one who's always choking Trojan
You're the one who's always bruised and broken
Sleep may be the enemy
But so's another line
It's a remedy
You should take more time
You're the one who's always choking trojan
You're the one who's showers always golden
Spunk & bestiality well it's an Assisi lie
It's ahead of me
You should close your fly
I understand the fascination
The dream that comes alive at night
But if you don't change your situation
Then you'll die, you'll die, don't die, don't die
Please don't die
You're the one who's always choking trojan
You're the one who's always bruised and broken
Drunk on immorality
Valium and cherry wine
Coke and ecstasy
You're gonna blow your mind
I understand the fascination
I've even been there once or twice or more
But if you don't change your situation
Then you'll die, you'll die, don't die, don't die
Please don't die x 4
You're the one who's always bruised and broken
Sleep may be the enemy
But so's another line
It's a remedy
You should take more time
You're the one who's showers always golden
Spunk & bestiality well it's an Assisi lie
It's ahead of me
You should close your fly
The dream that comes alive at night
But if you don't change your situation
Then you'll die, you'll die, don't die, don't die
Please don't die
You're the one who's always bruised and broken
Drunk on immorality
Valium and cherry wine
Coke and ecstasy

In the word's of the great Brian Molko:
"That's a song about grabbing your mate by the scruff of the neck and telling him that he's walking down a rocky road to ruin. It's basically, "You're my mate and I love you, but if you don't watch out you're going to fuck up pretty bad." It's autobiographical in the sense that there have been certain points in my life where the band or other friends have had to do that to me. Which was very beneficial. I love that song because musically it's like a really sweet lullaby and lyrically it's quite a filthy number. It puts a smile on your face."
"Levi's our sound man. There was this one time in Milan when I got a bit too drunk at dinner and left the restaurant which was right opposite the venue and there were some fans waiting outside, and I climbed on top of this Fiat Uno, and started screaming 'Nancy Boy', doing a performance for the fans. And Levi dragged me off the Fiat Uno, as the owner was approaching and waving the keys. I thought I was going to cross this road in between the two parked tour buses and took off, and Levi just grabbed me as a car zoomed by. So it's quite possible that he did save my life. If I was a Samurai, I would have to follow him around for the rest of my life and take care of him until I saved his life. But my little payback for that is to put his name in a song."
I like this song because if you listen to the lyrics their serious and like the refernces to golden showers and beasiality are kinda filthy (in my opinion), but the music is quite happy and u know the bit in the background at certain points of the song (sorry that was vague, dnt kno how to describe it but you all know what im talking about) makes it sound almost like a christmas song. so its quite strange really.
I just herd this song for the first time and after a few replays, I officially can't listen to it without it breaking my heart and putting me on the verge of tears. It's just my life in a nutshell and I really hate it when people point out to me that while my life is wicked awesome, it's also a razor thin road with destruction on both sides. It's so sweet and I really don't know what to think. All things considered, it's gotta be about the perils of the club kid and/or rock and roll lifestyle.
@NeonDancer Just read this comment - over 13 years later. As the song goes, I've been there once or twice, too (or, actually, more) and I could have written something similar back then. I only hope that things have turned out well for you.

St. Francis of Assisi was a monk in Italy in the Middle Ages.. you know, the one that cared for animals.
Yeah I think its like about some dude that is like destroying his life with drugs and all that shit but the other guy cares about his druggie friend and wants him to change because he has been down that road once and that road was not the most pleasant road to take.
this song reminds me of myself at some times and made me realise what some people had done to help me in the past...i jus like the beat on it aswell
Its about a guy, Levi, the sound dude, shaking Brian by the back of his collar and saying wise up boy.
pumkinhead- to choke Trojan is to give someone a BJ while they're wearing a condom

^^ That, is all I have to contribute <3
The friend's worldview is blind-belief (Worldview - Disillusionment).
That means he needs to self-actualize to understand that he can't go on like this - no more drugs and whoring around, or he'll ruin his life. His friend, the protagonist, tries to warn him because he had been there once, and he can understand the magic of this life, but also knows its dangers.
does anyone know what assissi means?
