Aging Spinsters Lyrics
You can have a fall and winter of your own
Staying warm inside your Victorian home,
But when the city's so hot the whiners(?) burst into flames,
When the Jesus freaks collapse with the weight of their claims
Marry young, Diana
I don't want to see you old and alone,
It's no fun, Diana
I don't want to see you rot in the home for aging spinsters
You should find someone as loyal as a dog
Who will still love you when you look like a frog,
Someone to rock your chair and bring you pink lemonade
Someone to peel your grape at 100 degrees in the shade
Staying warm inside your Victorian home,
But when the city's so hot the whiners(?) burst into flames,
When the Jesus freaks collapse with the weight of their claims
I don't want to see you old and alone,
It's no fun, Diana
I don't want to see you rot in the home for aging spinsters
Who will still love you when you look like a frog,
Someone to rock your chair and bring you pink lemonade
Someone to peel your grape at 100 degrees in the shade

this is my favorite 6ths song. for some reason i just love the way the sound of the lyrics go along with the image they are creating.
this, too, is my favorite 6ths song. it hurts when i listen to it. it makes me feel hopelessly happy and hopelessly hopeless. which, really, isn't a terrible thing.
i love the thought of being old and having someone rocking my chair, bringing me pink lemonade and peeling me a grape. it's the most romantic thing that i've heard in my life yet.
Some corrections: but when the city's so hot... the wino's burst into flames
GREAT SONG.
But I think he says "Wino's" instead of windows (i.e., drunks who drink wine.)
