The new Get Up Kids cd good or bad? I personally am a huge fan of it. Give me your opinions.
I don't think it has the same intimate feel as the two previous albums. It is slowly growing on me, but when I first heard it I was disappointed. I am glad that they are trying to be creative and try new things, though. "Campfire Kansas" is my favorite song on the album.
I think the new cd is very good. While its not my favorite by them (Four Minute Mile is), it still is another great disc from this band. They aren't going to release 4MM and STWHA over and over again, they are evolving and trying new things with each disc they put out, and for it they are stronger. What gets to me though is that when Saves The Day did a similar thing with releasing the slower, softer "Stay What You Are", everyone seems to love it. When GUK does it now with "On A Wire", everyone seems to hate it. This is just dumb, bands mature, and explore new things with their songwriting. This isn't selling out either. If GUK sold out, they would be on TRL right now with another pop-punk song. If you want to hate OAW because it sounds different from their previous efforts, fine, but GUK can't please everyone.

Stay what you are could have been worse.. it could have not had freakish (the only good song on the whole thing) that would have made it worse. Yeah the new stuff sounds different but not a complete turn around like everyone think it is. Its more mature i think. this is one of the better songs on the album
on a wire is growing on me... i know i'll love it just cause i love guk and that's just the way it is, but it's def. different than what i expected... and while 'stay what you are' is good, and i do like it, 'through being cool' is my favorite

I am in so in love with the new Get Up Kids cd. I love it!!! I got to listen to it last week from a friend and it is so amazing!!!!!! I am in love.
i personally like all their cds. true, it's a new sound, but frankly i like it. its mellow. heh, iddonuk, i lik all sabes the day also and i think "stay what you are" is good.
hrm... stay what you are was ok but realy, i think saves the day had better cd's in cant slow down and through beiognm cool. but thats just my opinion. hrm also this cd is kinda weak.... im not gonna say i hate it becasuer there are a few songs that i dont mind at all but i dunno it just doesnt really have the same kind of emotion that the other cds had... and im noit really a huge fan oif this song. maybe it will grow on me.
